Having started as a general engineering and maintenance business in 1945, we are still a family-owned and operated business with big ideas and big ambitions. We are constantly striving to invest in our facilities and expand our services and capabilities to attract further business locally and nationally.
A team of experts focused on flexibility
We are a family-owned and operated business with an established workforce of more than 35 people divided between seven departments – Sheet Metal, Machining, Fabrication, Fitting/Assembly, Design, Electrical and Steel Processing.
Our team collectively offers a wide range of skills and expertise in mechanical and electrical engineering that combine to make us the most complete engineering shop in the Wellington region. Our specific skills focus on welding, fabrication, sheet metal work, electrical design and installation, machining (both CNC and conventional), CAD/CAM and mechanical design.
Duncan McLennan, Managing Director
Duncan is the son of one of the two company founders and has worked here for more than 45 years. He oversees every aspect of each project and ensures the smooth running of the factory and its facilities.
James McLennan, Workshop Manager
James is in overall charge of the workshop and has worked here for seven years.
Lee Arnst, Electrical Foreman
Lee has 20 years under his belt overseeing the electrical workshop and electrical installations and certification.
Gavin Bingham, Fabrication Foreman
Running close behind Duncan in terms of years of service at 37, Gavin oversees the fabrication and machining workshops.
Mike Anstiss, Assembly Foreman
Mike oversees the assembly and sheet metal workshops and has worked here for 19 years.
We plan each project individually according to the required resources so that all of our clients receive a tailor-made service that delivers the solutions they need. For larger jobs, we break each element down according to the required processes which are then assigned to the shop foreman to plan and produce. All of our factory foremen have at least 19 years experience with us. Overall project progress is then managed by the factory manager.
